Visitors to Achema 2006, which opens in Frankfurt on 15 May, can now use a new electronic planning system to provide the most effective use of their time at the show
With more than 3900 exhibitors booked into 18 halls and an estimated 200,000 visitors expected, a 'My List' facility can enable an individual to 'tailor-make' a booth visiting schedule to cover the companies, products and services that he or she wishes to see.
The system, which can be found on the Achema website under 'Exhibitors' and 'Search', allows exhibitors to be sorted by name, country, hall, profile group and keyword, either separately or in combination.
Thus, for example, a visitor wanting to see all laboratarory equipment manufacturers from the United Kingdom, may carry out a combined search to produce a personalised 'My List' of the 67 relevant companies.
To that can be added other searches, for example, process analyser suppliers from the United States.
Once all such searches are complete, the list of companies and contact details can be printed out, along with a map of where each booth is located, by hall.
The system is available remotely, so that visitors can plan their schedules in advance, or it can be accessed on arrival at the exhibition.
As a further aid to planning, the Achema website allows visitors to browse the congress programme using 'page-turning' software; search the 800 lectures by session or author; order season tickets for the exhibition and congress.
