Exclusive UK distributor Fred Baker Scientific has 'gone large' with the all new top of the range Concept Plus anaerobic workstation from Ruskinn Technology, defining new standards of quality and value for high-throughput microbiology laboratories.
A host of new features and simple but effective design details allow easy transfer of plates, large flasks, and equipment.
The Concept Plus can accommodate 600 plates, which can be further increased by the addition of a second incubator fitted to the right hand side with access through a central interlock. Port entry is facilitated by the lightweight quick release door and the comfortable Ezee Sleeve rapid access bare hand system, allowing rapid transfer of samples into an anaerobic environment. The new fully automatic interlock is capable of transferring 100 plates at the touch of a button via an internal sliding tray, with a standard cycle taking only three minutes.
The convenient positioning of the lock at the front of the unit, combined with the pull-forward storage shelf for easy reach to all samples, port holders and colour coded racks, make the unit1s design extremely user friendly.
Particularly useful for on-call samples, the single plate entry system (SPES) allows instant access for several plates at a time without the need to enter the unit via a port or interlock.
Plates incubated on the bench can be introduced to the anaerobic incubator in seconds, significantly reducing exposure to oxygen.
