New and improved LightStack offers high power diode laser for pumping and direct-diode applications
Coherent announces the release of the LightStack product family of high-power diode laser stacks.
Featuring the recently released 80W LightStone, which is based on the industry-standard, macro-channel-cooled platform (MCCP), LightStacks offer excellent power and reliability available in the market today.
LightStack is designed specifically for applications that require kilowatts of continuous-wave (CW) or quasi-continuous-wave (QCW) laser power in a compact and versatile package.
LightStack high-power diode laser stacks, based on aluminum-free active area (AAA) technology, provide high-power and long-life performance because there's no aluminum, which causes oxidation at the facets - the leading failure mechanism in AlGaAs diode lasers.
Available in wavelengths of 808 and 940nm, and power levels up to 1200watts CW or 1500watts QCW, the LightStack features advanced technology, making it the most reliable and high-performance diode laser available today.
The design of these devices allows multiple bars to be stacked either horizontally or vertically.
Their low beam divergence and narrow emission bandwidth allow more efficient use of the laser energy.
And standard wavelength options, matched to solid-state gain media pumping requirements, make these products easy to integrate.
LightStack is available in multiple configurations of 1-10 bars horizontally or up to 15 bars vertically.
Custom options are available upon request.
Coherent diode lasers are MBE-grown and feature an aluminum-free active area design, which provides robust high-temperature performance, and nearly eliminates dark-line and spot defects, sudden failures and the gradual degradation typically found in MOCVD-grown AlGaAs diode lasers.
