Yokota Manufacturing has launched full-scale marketing of novel degassing and defoaming equipment in various fields such as food, semi-conductor, chemical and pulp/paper manufacturing industry
Novel degassing and defoaming equipments manufactured by Yokota Manufacturing, Japan, have been popular with food industry, which has been given a lot of coverage among many print media, the company reports.
Yokota has lately launched full-scale marketing of these novel degassing and defoaming equipments in various fields such as food, semi-conductor, chemical and pulp/paper manufacturing industry, by which Yokota estimates sales of these equipments at 230 million yen for the fiscal year ending in March 2008.
Also, Yokota has strengthened its marketing structure by establishing new department specializing in these equipments to respond to the increase in demand, particularly in the area of food production.
With the new marketing structure, Yokota also started seeking market in such field as cleaning liquid for semi-conductor and electronic parts and aims at increasing annual sales by 50% in the new department.
These degassing and defoaming products, having been made public through many printing media, attracted considerable inquiries especially from major food manufacturers nationwide, and Yokota found that there are new needs for decelerating oxidization and decay by means of degassing from gas-dissolving liquid type food or beverages.
Air and/or foam dissolved in liquid is troublesome in liquid type food manufacturing plant, hampering smooth flow within the equipment and precise measurement of its volume.
In addition, should air be dissolved in milk or juice etc, it accelerates oxidization and deteriorates freshness and taste.
Conventional degassing and defoaming equipments employing large tank, in which food is degassed or defoamed naturally and slowly, have mostly been used to prevent such trouble.
Although there was a method employed for shortening time of degassing or defoaming, saving time was limited.
In such a situation Yokota's degassing and defoaming equipments which enable quick and continuous degassing and defoaming have debuted and monopolized the Japanese domestic market.
It is needless to say that these equipments have been watched by food industry with keen interest for improvement of quality and efficiency in production process.
These equipments, through their patented mechanism, remove gas mixed in liquid by centrifugal force, and the maximum capacity per hour is 4000 litre (Model ASP-0510).
For demonstration of performance, Yokota leases these equipments overseas subject to nondisclosure pledge and deposit.
