Serologicals announced that Celliance, its wholly-owned subsidiary, is offering a new line of peptones under the brand name of LucraTone
These products will be launched into the bioprocessing market and are critical components in cell culture and fermentation.
The initial product launch will feature eight animal-free, GMO-free peptones: LucraTone Broadbean, LucraTone Pea, LucraTone Yeast, LucraTone Yeast UF, LucraTone Potato, LucraTone Soy F, LucraTone Soy P and LucraTone Wheat.
For the customer's convenience, all eight peptones will also be available in an 8x100g package size for sampling and evaluation in our LucraTone Pep Pack.
Additional animal-free peptones as well as some critical animal-origin peptones will be added to enhance our LucraTone line in early 2006.
"With the addition of these eight animal-free peptones, Celliance is answering the call from the industry for products from plant and other non-animal sources." said David Bellitt, president of Celliance.
"We are also leveraging our prominence in cell culture to introduce LucraTone peptones into that market as well as expanding our customer base into the fermentation market." LucraTone Peptones provide the bioprocessing industry with a highly pure source of soluble amino acids, peptides, vitamins and essential elements for cell culture and fermentation.
The animal-free, GMO-free LucraTone Peptones enable companies to improve their production yield while eliminating the risk of BSE/TSE, easing regulatory issues and improving export opportunities.
