Bruker BioSpin announced CryoFit, a new accessory for its 3mm CryoProbe, to facilitate fast switch from tube NMR to flow methods for hyphenated NMR techniques, at Pittcon 2004
CryoFit converts the 3mm CryoProbe from tube to flow cell applications in a matter of minutes.
Because the conversion can be made without removing the cryogenically cooled probe from the magnet, NMR researchers can move quickly from tube to flow format.
The unique design of the CryoFit ensures that this conversion can now be achieved without compromising signal-to-noise in a 3mm CryoProbe with optimal sample filling factor and highest sensitivity for flow NMR.
Ideal for hyphenated techniques such as LC-NMR, flow-NMR and LC-SPE-NMR, the new accessory delivers the high sensitivity of cryogenically cooled probes to flow injection methods.
Flow cells are available in a variety of sizes from 10 to 60ul, providing flexibility for a range of small molecule applications including drug discovery, metabonomics and natural products research.
To optimize throughput and performance further, inserts are available for Best flow injection (larger capillary ID) or LC-NMR applications (small capillary ID).
"This new accessory adds significant versatility to the CryoProbe, which is the highest sensitivity NMR probe available anywhere today," commented Werner Maas, vice president of research and development at Bruker BioSpin.
"CryoFit offers the ability to use both tubes and flow cells and this significantly widens the range of NMR applications that benefit from the improved detection limits enabled by the CryoProbe technology."
