The basic Langendorff isolated heart systems (BLIHS) are ready to use isolated heart perfusion systems for rodent hearts such as mouse, rat and/or guinea pig
This system is based on the more advanced IH-SR and UP-100 systems for constant flow or constant pressure perfusion.
To achieve constant flow or constant pressure perfusion, the BLIHS utilises the SCP controller module.
The SCP module in combination with a pressure transducer, data acquisition system and peristaltic pump allows continuous recording of flow rate without an expensive flowmeter.
The complete system includes the perfusion apparatus, transducers and amplifiers for perfusion pressure, servo controller and integrated peristaltic pump and a data acquisition system.
Left ventricular pressure is measured (isovolumetric balloon method) using a second pressure transducer.
The BLIHS is optimised and intended only for Langendorff heart perfusion.
The system is simple to setup and use.
It is available for mouse, rat, and/or guinea pig hearts.
