Whether measuring endogenous insulin production or a spectrum of insulin analogues, Mercodia’s ELISA kits are designed to meet any requirement.
Developed for both serum and plasma samples, the insulin and iso-insulin ELISAs are robust and highly reproducible. The human insulin and ultra-sensitive insulin products cover a sensitivity range from 0.15-200 mU/l, with no or insignificant cross-reactivity to human proinsulin or C-peptide, insulin analogues or rat/mouse insulin. For a broader insulin assay, the iso-insulin ELISA detects human insulin and its analogues, as well as rat, mouse, porcine, ovine and bovine insulin.
Insulin, ultra-sensitive insulin and iso-insulin kits each use two monoclonal antibodies, which simultaneously bind to separate epitopes on their respective analyte. One antibody is bound to the plate, while the other is conjugated to HRP, and is detected upon reaction with 3,3',5,5' tetramethylbenzidine (TMB).
Insulin ELISA kits are also available for various animal models, including a mouse assay requiring only 5 µl samples. The CE marked kits each uses a sample volume of just 25 µl, with no sample preparation required.
