The Mercodia Human GLP-1 chemiluminescence ELISA, available from Diagenics, can be used with a sample volume of only 25μl of serum or plasma.
It has 100% cross-reactivity to the most abundant form of GLP-1, GLP-1 (9-36) amide, an analytical sensitivity (or Capability of Detection) of 0.65 pmol/L and a functional sensitivity (or Lower Limit of Quantification, LLOQ) of 1.0 pmol/L, fasting levels of GLP-1 will be reliably measured.
A measuring range of 0.9 - 940 pmol/L will cover fasting samples as well as samples with highly elevated levels (e.g., postprandial gastric bypass) without the need for dilutions.
The ELISA has been validated according to FDA/EMA/CLSI Guidelines and has a straight-forward protocol which can easily be transferred to an automated platform.
