The Korean EASC Act (Electrical Appliance Safety Certification Act) has broadened its scope.
The Act has been subject to several changes:.
15 new products on the list of electric appliances safety certification, implemented starting March 2007.
Safety inspection methods introduced for imported second hand electric appliances.
The possibility of exemption from inspection if the results of routine and on the market inspections of a product have been in conformity with the standard in the two previous years.
This new upgrade to the Electrical Appliances Safety Control Act will enable Certification Bodies to order local authorities to dispose of or to remove from the market all electrical appliances that have not been certified or inspected.

Cables and cords.
Switches for electrical appliances (EA).
Capacitors or filters as components for power supply units.
Installation accessories and connection devices.
Installation protective equipment.
Safety transformers or similar equipment.
Household and similar EA.
Motor tools.
Audio/video and similar EA.
IT and office appliances.
Lightings.
