Annual US conference seeks oral and poster presentations in all areas of analytical chemistry, applied spectroscopy, life sciences, and related disciplines; deadline for abstracts is 1 August 2007
The Pittsburgh Conference released the Call for Papers for the 59th annual Pittcon conference and expo.
Pittcon 2008 will be 1-7 March 2008, at the Ernest Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, Louisiana.
The Pittcon 2008 technical programme features comprehensive coverage at the forefront of analytical chemistry and instrumental analysis.
The 2008 programme committee has selected 60 invited symposia, including 11 awards, featuring world leaders in their respective areas of expertise.
The programme committee solicits abstracts of original, previously unpublished findings in all aspects of instrumental analysis including but not limited to chromatography, molecular and atomic spectroscopy, electrochemistry, mass spectrometry and lab-on-a-chip technology.
The committee also seeks abstracts addressing novel applications of measurement science in areas such as nanotechnology, biomedicine, neurochemistry, genomics, forensics, informatics and quality assurance as well as pharmaceutical, environmental, polymer and food science.
New for Pittcon 2008 is the Lab 2015 poster session, a gathering of emerging laboratory technologies which will give start-up and early-stage companies and entrepreneurs the opportunity to present their novel technology, innovative scientific concept or creative business model in front of a targeted audience and potential investors and partners.
The goal of the Lab 2015 is to explore promising new technology solutions that are currently available, but are still one to three years away from widespread adoption.
For full consideration, abstracts must be received by Wednesday 1 August 2007.
Abstracts may only be submitted electronically via the Pittcon website.
