Available on all new Micronic Roborack, StaboRack and Loborack storage racks, Snap Tube ensures high security for samples in non coded, alphanumeric and 2D coded tubes during transport or storage
Developed in conjunction with a leading automation company, Snap Tube from Micronic is a new and novel locking mechanism that enables tubes to be locked into storage racks thereby enhancing sample security.
Operating Snap Tube is both fast and simple, says the company.
Applying downward pressure, Snap tubes are securely locked into the Micronic storage rack.
To unlock, simply apply a gentle upward pressure, now the tubes are free again to be handled by an automated tube picking system.
The Micronic storage rack range, developed in conjunction with several leading automation companies, is based upon the globally recognised Ansi/SBS-1 (2004) footprint dimensions, as registered and designated by the American National Standards Institute (Ansi).
Accommodating 96 individual tubes in the industry standard configuration Micronic racks are fully compatible with all commercial automated sample handling and storage systems enabling significant gains in productivity to be routinely achieved.
Manufactured under Class 7 (clean room 10,000) conditions, Micronic racks are robust and absolutely consistent rack-to-rack - essential prerequisites for trouble-free automation.
Micronic racks are available sterile, RNase/DNase free and with custom specific barcodes to enable automated tracking.
Dedicated to the design and production of innovative sample storage tubes, accessories and instruments over the last 25 years, Micronic is uniquely able to offer laboratories the expert advice to help them safeguard one of its most valuable assets - its samples.
