Anaspec has announced the inclusion of two dyes in its Anatag protein labelling kit - Hilyte Fluor 594 (Ex/Em=593/616nm) and Hilyte Fluor 680 (Ex/Em=678/699nm).
Developed by Anaspec, Hilyte Fluor dyes are a series of dyes that spans the whole visible spectrum.
Anatag Hilyte Fluor protein labelling kits provide a convenient way to label proteins using the succinimidyl ester (SE) reactive form of the Hilyte Fluor dyes.
The succinimidyl ester shows good reactivity and selectivity with aliphatic amines of the protein and forms a carboxamide bond, which is identical to, and is as stable as the natural peptide bond.
Hilyte Fluor-protein conjugates can sustain treatments during immunofluorescent staining, fluorescence in situ hybridisation, flow cytometry and other biological applications without hydrolysis.
The kits can be used for microscale (3 x 200ug) and larger scale (3 x 5mg) labelling of proteins, such as antibodies.
The kits offer a fast labelling time, and include all essential components for conjugation reaction and purification of dye-protein conjugates.
They are available in two reaction sizes: microscale labelling kit: up to 200ug protein x 3 labellings or larger-scale labelling kit: up to 5mg protein x 3 reactions.
