Solventtrak, the HPLC mobile phase recycler, is claimed to be able to pay for itself in as little as four weeks.
Solventtrak automatically identifies peaks in the chromatogram by using an algorithm similar to a data system, which means that no operator intervention or maintenance is required.
Peaks are sent to waste, while the clean solvent at baseline is recycled back to the reservoir.
Typical solvent recovery is over 80 per cent, thus reducing solvent costs for purchase and disposal.
A presentation is available for download from the Labhut website explaining the operation, and answering questions about validation and payback times.
