The Association for Laboratory Automation (ALA) has announced that an online service for registration, hotel and travel is now open for Labautomation2010.
The five-day event offers knowledge sharing across a wide range of scientific disciplines and industries such as: drug discovery and development; forensics and security; energy generation and petrochemicals; agriculture and food; and clinical diagnostics.
The conference programme brings forward the World's Top 100 Podium Presentations devoted to laboratory automation strategies and technologies featuring leading academicians, scientists, engineers, business leaders, and post-docs or graduate students.
The educational programme is highlighted by five tracks: detection and separation; high-throughput technologies; informatics; micro and nano technologies; evolving applications of laboratory automation, featuring agriculture and food.
In conjunction with the educational programme, participants also take part in the exhibition featuring more than 250 multinational companies exhibiting the latest in technology and laboratory automation services.
Last year's exhibition was highlighted by more than 25 new product launches and once again featured the ALA New Product Award (NPA) Designation.
The event includes a plenary speaker series featuring R Graham Cooks, Henry B Haas, distinguished professor of analytical chemistry, Purdue University; Hod Lipson, associate professor, mechanical and aerospace engineering, Cornell University; and R Bruce Sterling, American science fiction novelist and columnist for Wired and Make magazines.
Labautomation2010 takes place on 23-27 January 2010 at the Palm Springs Convention Center, California.
ALA members who register by 30 September receive a 10 per cent discount on their registration.
ALA's Take Off With ALA campaign will be offering qualifying participants $200 off air travel to Labautomation2010.
