RSSL Pharma Training has launched the 'Report Writing for Scientists' course, which is intended to help scientists to write clearer reports, especially where these are for a non-scientific audience.
It is intended to be useful for researchers and technical staff needing to explain or illuminate their work to non-specialist managers or company directors or perhaps to scientists working in contract laboratories who need to report back to customers who do not speak the same 'scientific language'.
The course takes place over one day and is scheduled for 22 October at RSSL Pharma's training centre in Reading, although in-house dates can also be arranged.
The interactive 'Report Writing for Scientists' course is based around practical exercises.
The emphasis is on planning, reader analysis, structuring the message and writing clearly and, although this is not a grammar and punctuation course, these elements may be remarked upon during the sessions.
Prior to the course, delegates are encouraged to submit examples of their work for the tutor to review and relate to during the course, where appropriate.
