An informative online video from Agilent Automation Solutions demonstrates its fast, small-footprint Bravo Automated Liquid Handling Platform in action, together with a range of accessories.
Streamed from the Agilent website, the video demonstrates how the Bravo Liquid Handling Platform delivers high speed and versatility in a small footprint.
Its space-saving nine-plate-position footprint has been designed to fit inside a standard laminar flow hood, enabling automated liquid handling for cell-based assays or hazardous reagent handling.
The Bravo uses high-accuracy pipette heads for dispensing from 100 to 200ul in 96-, 384- and 1,536-well formats or to a single column or row of any of these plate types.
Pipette heads can be changed in minutes and numerous platepad options are available to enable a range of assays.
In addition, the open design of the Bravo platform permits access from all sides for simple integration with other devices and unencumbered standalone use.
The Bravo platform is powered by VWorks Automation Control software with its event-driven scheduler, interface and error-recovery technology, ensuring complete control is easy for all levels of operator.
Typical applications served by the Bravo platform include compound distribution, assay-plate preparation, microplate replication, library reformatting, reagent addition, serial dilutions, DNA extraction, cell assays and screening.
