The Quant FT-NIR analyser provides rapid non-destructive analysis of food, drink, agricultural and related materials.
The Quant Analyser is powered by the latest ABB Bomem FT-NIR technology. FT-NIR (Fourier Transform Near Infrared) measures the entire spectrum of the sample instantly.
This technique generates a large amount of high-quality spectral data, which makes it possible to accurately determine various components such as fat, moisture, protein, lactose, pH, etc.
Permanently aligned optics with a Jacquinot stop in the interferometer output beam ensures an accurate and stable line shape as well as wavelength and resolution stability.
The system is provided with a range of rapidly interchangeable modular accessories allowing transfer between sample types.
Samples are protected from point of sampling through NIR analysis to storage or reference analysis.
Coarse solids, grains and forage are measured in a generic glass bottle. The bottle is rotated at an angle so that the sample is mixed during operation, improving the analysis.
Samples are individually sealed preventing cross contamination or air interaction.
According to QCL, the Quant features the greatest spectral range on the market, 3,700 to 14,885 cm-1 (2702 to 672 nm).
More spectral details result in more information and facilitates better calibration models.
The Quant also has the highest available signal to noise ratio, providing improved stability and repeatability. Its ability to detect very small signals can be applied to novel applications.
Specifications include:
- Spectroscopic Performance (typical, at 25 °C with InAs detector)
- Spectral Range 3,700 to 14,885 cm-1
- Signal to Noise (60 s, 16 cm-1, at peak response) > 900 000: 1
