Agilent Technologies appoints Ludwig Huber to the newly-created post of compliance fellow for its life sciences and chemical analysis businesses
Agilent Technologies has announced the appointment of Ludwig Huber as compliance fellow for Agilent's life sciences and chemical analysis business.
In this newly created role, Huber will focus on identifying and evaluating compliance-related initiatives with the most potential to benefit customers.
Huber will be responsible for extending Agilent's position as a leading provider of compliance solutions that help pharmaceutical laboratories to meet regulatory requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Huber, an Agilent (formerly Hewlett-Packard) employee since 1978, is known as one of the world's foremost experts and opinion leaders on regulatory compliance in analytical laboratories.
He has authored numerous articles and books on the subject and is a regular keynote speaker at industry-sponsored and independent compliance conferences, seminars and workshops around the world.
He also maintains the labcompliance website, a global online resource for validation and compliance issues in analytical laboratories.
In recent years, Huber has received several awards for his presentations and publications.
In 2000, he received the first international GLP award from the Indian Drug Manufacturer's Association (IMDA) for his research and publications on GLP and GMP.
The Institute of Validation and Technology (IVT) selected Huber as Presenter of the Year in 2002 for his presentations at IVT's conferences in North America, Europe, and Japan.
Later that year, he received the Wallhaeusser Award from the Scientific Advisory Board of the European Compliance Academy for his research and publications on GMP, quality assurance, computer validation and FDA compliance.
