Borolabs has announced the launch of a new model in its range of Labcold spark-free fridges.
Answering the needs of many laboratories who have found that the European standard 850mm high fridge will simply not fit under their bench surface, Borolabs has added a 820mm high fridge to its comprehensive spark-free range.
Already, this compact size has found a home under many lab benches.
The Labcold spark-free range has been designed specifically for laboratory use.
As with other Labcold fridges, this new model provides features not available in domestic models and so meets the stringent safety demands of the scientific and medical industries.
All models will operate in ambient temperatures up to 32C and will recover temperatures more rapidly after power cut or door opening than their domestic-use counterparts.
The chambers have no heat sources or components that could cause an arc or spark and so provide safer storage of materials that may give rise to flammable vapours or gases.
The thermostatic controllers are mounted outside the cabinet with only the sensing element in the chamber.
Temperature gradients within the chamber are minimised by the evaporator design.
