The Entec database jointly produced by Fiz Karlsruhe and Fiz Technik, with about 650,000 citations on energy technology, can be accessed online for an annual fee
Fiz Karlsruhe's information service is now offering the Entec energy database on the web at an annual flat rate of €535.00 for the industry and service enterprises, and €500.00 for universities and colleges.
Entec can be accessed through the Fiz Karlsruhe homepage (link above).
A free demo database providing limited search results is also available.
Jointly produced by Fiz Karlsruhe and Fiz Technik, Entec contains, among others, information on fossil sources of energy, nuclear energy, energy fusion and renewable energy sources.
Further subjects covered by Entec are research and application matters as well as energy policy and energy management.
At present, the data pool comprises approx.
650,000 citations.
Every year approximately 20,000 new documents are added.
Entec features a powerful search software with a user-friendly interface allowing a well directed search for information also to those unfamiliar with search techniques. The search can be conducted either by using a quick search mask or an expert search mask offering a vast number of search criteria.
As a first search result the database provides a list of titles which then lead to abstracts with bibliographical data. Full-text publications on the searched subjects can be ordered online, either through the direct ordering service Fiz Autodoc. Parallel to the flat-rate offer in the web, Entec is also available via STN International at its general conditions.
In order to access the flat-rate Entec offer, an own user identification is required.
Applications can be made on the Entec homepage.
The access to Entec by STN International is possible with the normal access authorisations.
