New software utility enables Labview 6i users to incorporate sophisticated materials testing regimes effortlessly into their Labview environment
To extend the reach of materials testing to Labview users, Ametek Lloyd Instruments launches a new software utility.
The Labview-Nexygen interface driver enables Labview 6i users to incorporate sophisticated materials testing regimes effortlessly into their Labview environment.
With the Labview-Nexygen interface driver, the power and precision of Lloyd Instruments and Chatillon materials testing systems can be incorporated into a Labview control platform.
The Labview-Nexygen interface driver is a Nexygen branded product and Nexygen MT is Ametek's powerful data analysis and control software dedicated to materials testing.
The Labview-Nexygen interface driver allows Labview users to control Chatillon and Lloyd Instruments materials testing equipment including Chatillon TCD machines and all LRX, LR, Plus and EZ series machines respectively.
To achieve this, it incorporates Nexygen consoles to control the test machine and a library of Virtual Instruments (VIs) created especially for setting up and performing tests on the testing machines.
The choice of selectable VIs includes ways to connect and control the testing machine, test set-up, sample break checking, results format selecting and more.
Labview users will immediately recognise the ease of creating control loops and incorporating Lloyd Instruments and Chatillon test machines into the Labview control scheme.
Like all Labview VIs, the library of VIs in on the Labview-Nexygen interface driver can be modified by the user.
Labview, from National Instruments, is regarded as an industry-leading control software that has revolutionised how engineers and scientists approach measurement and automation.
