CTCLS plans to distribute Nanostream's Veloce micro parallel liquid chromatography (PLC) system to scientists at Japanese pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies
Nanostream will enter the Japanese life sciences market through a sales distribution partnership with CTC Laboratory Systems (CTCLS), a subsidiary of Itochu Techno-Science.
CTCLS plans to distribute Nanostream's Veloce micro parallel liquid chromatography (PLC) system to scientists at Japanese pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
Nanostream's premier product, the Veloce system, is used in conjunction with 24-column Brio cartridges to increase the throughput of established HPLC (high-performance liquid chromatography) techniques for applications such as compound purity assessment, Log P and separation-based assays.
As the world's second largest life sciences industry, Japan presents a significant market opportunity for technology solutions that enhance routine laboratory techniques.
According to Taizo Watanabe, president of CTC Laboratory Systems, "Japanese scientists have realised a tremendous value in adopting new technologies to gain access to information earlier in the drug discovery process and increase researcher productivity.
"We believe that our customers will benefit from Nanostream's Veloce system, which provides faster time to data for scientists who need to perform a heavy volume of analyses".
CTCLS will offer direct sales to pharmaceutical and biotech companies and customer support including full installation and services.
CTCLS's Tokyo facility will enable prospective customers to view instrument demonstrations, and the CTCLS team to conduct sample testing for these customers.
