A new range of positioning systems specifically designed for use with inverted microscopes for imaging of cells, single molecules, and other nanostructures
The low profile design and large through hole (66 x 66mm) of the Nano-Bio2 and the Nano-Bio3 allow for easy integration into most brands of inverted microscopes such as Nikon, Olympus, and Digital Instruments BioScope.
The systems use piezoresistive sensors and closed loop feed back control to ensure absolute position measurement and sub-nanometre accuracy.
The Nano-Bio2 is a dual axis nanopositioning system with 100 microns of travel in each axis.
The Nano-Bio3 is a triple axis nanopositioning system with 100 microns of travel in XY and 10 microns travel in Z, which can be increased up to 50 microns.
Both systems can be constructed from aluminium or from invar for extra thermal stability.
