Latest in series of one-day seminars on intrinsically safe and high speed fieldbus applications for the process sector will take place in Manchester on 19 June
Profibus UK has organised a one day seminar showing how Profibus PA and DP are used to provide cost-effective solutions to a wide range of process applications.
Designed for field and system engineers, the Profibus process industry seminar provides an excellent introduction to the use of intrinsically safe Profibus PA and high speed Profibus DP in real-world process applications. With the inclusion of real life case studies, the seminar provides insight into the fundamentals and benefits of Profibus PA and put you in touch with sources for ongoing UK support and advice.
Speakers are Andy Verwer, principal lecturer at the Profibus Competence Centre at Manchester Metropolitan University, Mark Garston, process control engineer, DSM Resins, Mike O'Neill, Hawke Fieldbus, and members of the Profibus UK Steering Committee Tony Grassby, Endress & Hauser, and Brian Holliday, Siemens.
The agenda - which can be flexible on the day - covers: introduction to Profibus PA, its benefits and installation; using fieldbus with your PLC; intrinsically-safe Profibus design and installations; an introduction to fieldbus device tool/device type manager (FDT/DTM); process industry case study; a look to the future of process automation; Q and A and panel discussion.
