The presence of off-axis forces for a rotary displacement transducer can prove the crucial factor affecting its accuracy, reliability and life expectancy
RDP Electronics says it has eliminated concerns about off-axis forces with its RCDT range of rotary displacement sensors.
Based on RDP's patented and well-proven 'non-contact capacitive technology', the RCDT offers absolute measurement with the benefit of a long operational lifespan.
Measurements over an angular displacement range of 300deg are possible for both restricted movement or continuously rotating shafts.
The RCDT's internal electronic circuitry provides a linear DC output of 0-3V over the specified measurement range of the shaft with a linearity of +/-1% and a typical full-scale resolution of 0.01%.
RDP Electronics can also offer a double gang version using a single shaft with independent sensors to provide multiple outputs.
