Based on linear piezo motors these stages offer encoded motion at better than 10nm resolution over travel ranges from 24mm to 200mm
Stratton Technologies introduces a range of high precision linear and rotary stages from Alio Industries.
Based on the Nanomotion linear piezo motor these stages offer encoded motion at better than 10nm resolution over travel ranges from 24mm to 200mm.
Their unique design makes them suitable for a number of applications in the life sciences including step and scan cell analysis where accurate motion, fast settling times and zero servo dither are of paramount importance and active positioning of a focused laser beam in flow cytometry.
A DC operational mode allows moves with 1nm resolution.
The range also includes a six-axis parallel kinematic robotic system (Hexapod) which offers 10 nanometer resolution revolving around a virtual point in space coupled with speeds of up to 80mm/sec.
This robotic product forms the basis of the next generation of automated nano-positioning systems for the most demanding applications in photonics, packaging, test, measurement, medical and semiconductor manufacturing.
The design of these stages means that they can be used in high-vacuum environments down to 10e-10 Torr and are clean-room compatible (Class 10).
These systems also have no electromagnetic generation so are suitable for applications in areas such as NMR.
