Unlike the standard Adobe Acrobat copy operation, which extracts the graphics as non-scalable bitmaps, the BlueStone plug-in for Adobe Acrobat provides for the extraction of the scalable vector graphics stored in the PDF file.
With BlueStone, graphics stored in PDF files generated from AutoCad drawings, molecular drawings, photographic images, and more can be extracted and included in presentations or reports - preserving the images' clarity and sharpness.
This allows subsequent re-sizing or expansion without loss of resolution of the image.
