Two new Capintec dose calibrators are available in the UK through Southern Scientific, designed for use with PET and brachytherapy isotopes in nuclear medicine departments
CRC-15PET and CRC-15BT are two new calibrators from Capintec that are available exclusively in the UK from Southern Scientific.
The CRC-15PET is a state-of-the-art technology dose calibrator built with a five times atmospheric pressure ionisation chamber and additional programming to handle high-energy PET isotopes while the CRC-15BT is designed to measure high activity brachytherapy isotopes.
CRC-15PET for PET hot labs.
The CRC-15PET is designed to meet the demands of all nuclear medicine departments combining accuracy with ease of operation as the sophisticated microchip platform eliminates analogue controls and increases the speed of all activity measurements.
Features include a large character, high visibility, display with automatic back lighting that provides on-screen display of nuclide, activity, unit of measurement and calibration number.
Automatic zero, background subtraction, built-in dose calibration, quality control and a self diagnostic system are also provided.
An optional printer for full size records and patient labels for syringes and vials is also available as is a remote display indicating nuclide, activity and types of measure.
Specifically designed to handle 511keV emitting isotopes, the CRC-15PET calibrator will prove invaluable in every PET hot lab.
CRC-15BT for brachytherapy.
The CRC-15BT was developed in response to demands for a quick and dependable calibrator that is able to measure activities higher than those experienced in traditional nuclear medicine.
The CRC-15BT provides calibration for brachytherapy sources including readout in Ci, Bq or Air Kerma strength, automated quality control functions and the unit incorporates a pressurised chamber that requires no temperature or pressure corrections.
