Helps create fully focused images of samples with or without a camera, which could prove invaluable for cytologists that need to quickly identify cell or chromosomal abnormalities
Syncroscopy has introduced Syncroscan, its innovative automated stage and focus control system which will ensure rapid scanning and mapping of samples, both large and small.
Consisting of a PCI board to control the stage integrated with sophisticated software, Syncroscan can work with or without a camera.
The system is ideal for use with Montage Explorer, Syncroscopy's unique software which seamlessly combines many fields of view to produce one entire high-resolution image of a large sample. Syncroscan and Montage Explorer will be the perfect tools for material scientists examining bigger engine parts to ensure they rapidly obtain a perfectly focused view of any cracks or fractures.
As well as being useful for large samples, Syncroscan can also navigate through microscope slides to automatically focus the samples on the slide.
This could prove invaluable for cytologists that need to quickly identify cell or chromosomal abnormalities.
Syncroscan comes complete with an auto focus function control for video cameras and can be used at a low magnification for a fast scan or at higher magnification in the areas that require a more detailed examination.
The system's software is so flexible that it can even be set with different automated scan patterns to include a pause if necessary, making its use completely automatic.
Bob Town, Syncroscopy's general sales manager, said: "We are delighted with the new Syncroscan system because it embodies all of the most recent advances in microscope automation technology.
By hugely improving the efficiency and ergonomics of routine sample imaging and inspection, we believe it will offer a much needed yet simple hands free focusing approach to many areas of microscopy."
