Designed for front-end automation of most types of tests used in autoimmune serology including immunofluorescence assays (IFA), Elisa and Fidis multiplex immunoassays
The Caris system is designed for front-end automation of most types of tests used in autoimmune serology including immunofluorescence assays (IFA), Elisa and Fidis multiplex immunoassays.
The highly flexible instrument is available as two models with a robotic arm incorporating either two or four pipetting tips.
Each pipette operates independently and features ceramic micro-geared pumps, which are very accurate, maintenance free and extremely quiet.
Precision across the pipetting range of 1ul to 1ml, is excellent and tips are interchangeable between washable or disposable types.
With up to four pipetting tips the system has a very high capacity and can handle up to 40 IFA slides in ten different test combinations simultaneously.
Caris has a capacity to handle 96 samples at any one time using primary sample tubes and identification through a manual or optional automated bar code reader.
The large stainless steel deck holds up to six sample predilution plates that can be set for each sample and each test.
The pipette wash station is used for both internal and external probe wash and simultaneously washes all four tips while the reagent rack has 19 positions for controls and reagents.
The system comes with eight IFA slide racks containing up to five slides per rack of any type.
The Caris ATX software is very user-friendly making test programming and selection easy.
The software gives an open choice of titration ratios for each sample, real time tracking of each step of the test and a graphical representation of the deck featuring colour coded slides.
Caris has been designed to be multifunctional and in addition to IFA slides it can also be used to prepare Fidis multiplex immunoassay tests, including an automated vacuum filtration washer to provide automated front-end automation of these tests.
