Now available from Armstrong Optical is the IR112 thermal sensor module.
Similar in size to the company's IR108 thermal sensor module, it provides users with 40% more pixels for 8-14um infrared imaging applications.
Based on a 384 x 288 pixel array of 35um square pixels, fabricated from amorphous silicon, the non-cooled microbolometer unit has been designed for easy integration into third-party thermal imaging camera systems, says the company.
The plug-n-play module offers standard video output (PAL/NTSC), complemented by built-in FireWire 1394.
Gain, offset, zoom, brightness, contrast and image display are all available through standard interfaces.
The IR112 represents the latest in a range of thermal imaging products available from Armstrong Optical, including a radiometric system, the MobIR M4, which is the size of a mobile phone, and the IR928+, a hand-held system for predictive/preventive maintenance applications.
