International Specialty Products (ISP), through one of its subsidiaries, it has acquired the business of French biocides manufacturer, Progiven
Established in 1946, Progiven is today recognised as a leading formulator of biocides for a diverse range of industrial applications including paints and coatings, glues and adhesives, metalworking fluids, building industry materials, textile and leather auxiliaries, detergents and water treatment additives.
Progiven has built a strong market position through the combination of its unique technical expertise and customer service orientation and today serves over 700 customers in more than 50 countries.
Sunil Kumar, ISP's president and chief executive officer, commenting on the acquisition stated: "Progiven is a strategically important acquisition for ISP's global biocide business, allowing us to further increase the level of technical service and product offering in the industrial markets we serve.
