Whether used as an annual process validation, to assess new staff and procedure validations, or to highlight any potential areas for improvement, users can submit their results anonymously, to St Mary's Pharmaceutical Unit in Wales, where a national benchmark database is under development.
Developed in conjunction with NHS Wales, the tests are easy to implement and offer significant improvements in the quality of prescribing, dispensing or administering medicines (ABPI).
