Powdermatrix and MediTech are hosting an event this June to explain and explore issues and developments regarding the use of powder technology in the medical devices industry
The one-day seminar, taking place on 29 June 2006 at the Nottingham Gateway Hotel, UK, will look at current and potential powder technology applications in the medical devices industry, with guest speakers leading discussion on a detailed and varied schedule of topics.
Areas to be covered at the seminar include: use of ceramic and metal powder based materials for dental, orthopaedic and tissue engineering applications, PVD (physical vapour deposition) coatings, nanostructures for thin film coatings, metal injection moulding and selective laser melting.
Powdermatrix, part of the Materials KTN, is a network in particulate engineering with a focus on the advanced ceramic, powder metal, hard metal and magnetics industries.
For this event, Powdermatrix has teamed up with MediTech, one of the UK's largest biomedical research and collaboration networks, to deliver a thorough and informative seminar to attract industrialists and academics alike.
