Joseph Popper, president and CEO of Popper and Sons, was named to 100 most notable people in the medical device industry
The list appeared in the 25th anniversary June 2004 issue of Medical Device and Diagnostic Industry (published by Canon Communications).
Readers of the magazine nominated many of the candidates.
Joseph Popper is a third-generation president to this family-owned business.
Popper was founded in 1922 and specialises in the manufacturing of specialty medical and laboratory components and devices.
The company sells its own line of needles, syringes and Luer components but has become an industry leader in the OEM and custom manufacturing of biomedical components.
"Our reputation for high quality manufacturing coupled with personalized customer service, were the foundations set forth by my grandfather, father and uncle and have allowed us to become the preferred strategic partner to many of today's leading biomedical device manufacturers.
"In an industry that has always been dominated by giants like BD, Medtronic etc, our employees prove on a daily basis that small companies offering quality and value are an integral part of this highly competitive market" says Joe Popper.
