ChemSW introduced in May 2001 a comprehensive desktop Laboratory Document Control System (LDCS) for the management of laboratory SOPs
This secure, Windows-based program allows laboratories to closely control documents and SOPs while providing efficient access to the most current information.
The flexible system incorporates the use of built-in or existing customer templates, and allows documents to be 'checked out' for revisions.
Secured system users can add comments to documents that are in the review and revision process.
With a common file cabinet and defined procedures, current status of any document is available at any time, including a complete revision history.
"With traditional paper-based systems, it's impossible to find and monitor current documents or keep track of revision history," explained Brian Stafford, president of ChemSW.
"Creating a more controlled document environment is good practice for all chemistry labs."
