The conference and expo is scheduled for February 25 to March 2, 2007, at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois; conferees registering by January 26, 2007, will save 50% on the registration fee
New for Pittcon 2007: The registration fee will be waived for conferees who take three or more short courses.
"We continually strive to improve the Pittcon experience for conferees by adding value to all aspects of Pittcon," said Pittcon 2007 president Beth Kirol.
"A discount on multiple short courses will increase the value for employers who sponsor employee attendance at Pittcon as a way to provide continuing education".
The comprehensive Pittcon 2007 technical programme, which begins on Sunday, February 25, will offer more than 2100 technical presentations arranged into focused symposia, organised contributed sessions, workshops, oral sessions, and poster sessions.
For the first time, the ACS Division of Analytical Chemistry (DAC) will hold its 2007 spring meeting at Pittcon.
DAC is arranging four symposia and six organised contributed sessions on topics in environmental science, nanotechnology, and analytical chemistry.
By holding a joint meeting, Pittcon and DAC aim to increase opportunities and value for all conferees and exhibitors.
Pittcon 2007 will offer facilitator-assisted conferee networking sessions as a free new service for registered conferees.
The conferee networking sessions will provide exceptional opportunities for discussing focused topics of mutual interest in an informal setting.
"Networking is an essential part of why conferees attend Pittcon; therefore, we will facilitate interactive, open discussions of specific conferee-recommended topics for those who choose to participate," stated Kirol.
