Viscotek has announced the dates for its next one-day training seminars - 'Characterisation of polymers, proteins and biomolecules by light scattering and size exclusion chromatography'
Due to take place in the UK in Manchester (6 March 2007) and Reading (8 March 2007) the seminars are aimed at scientists who want to improve their understanding of the usefulness of SEC and light scattering techniques to their applications.
The aim of each seminar, delivered by highly experienced speakers, will be to give a firm grounding in the currently available characterisation techniques based on static and dynamic light scattering and light scattering coupled with size exclusion chromatography.
Emphasis will be on the use of the latest methods, with both theoretical and practical aspects covered.
There will be application examples to illustrate the techniques.
Time will also be available to discuss topics and answer questions from the delegates.
Covering all aspects of SEC from conventional calibration using a single refractive index or UV detector to the latest light scattering and triple detector technology the highly affordable seminars have been designed to cater for both experienced polymer scientists as well as those new to the field.
Viscotek has been running educational GPC/SEC seminars and courses for over 15 years.
These have been held in 13 European countries and attended by thousands of delegates.
Courses have ranged from short seminars to extensive SEC/GPC masterclasses.
The content of the seminars is drawn from the personal experiences of Viscotek staff and customers world-wide and encompasses many years of designing, building and operating instrumentation.
The speakers have an extensive knowledge of both the theoretical and practical aspects of the techniques and the application areas.
