CyBio has expanded its existing capabilities of liquid handling with a new capillary based pipetting platform - the CyBi-HummingWell
This new system can be completely integrated into the proven CyBio instrumentation and is shown during the LabAutomation in Palm Springs in January 2007 for the first time.
The new system allows dry and parallel compound transfer in the sub microlitre range down to 25nl which enables the use of compounds directly from stock without further dilution steps, eg for DMSO sensitive assays or to avoid compound precipitation.
The CyBi-HummingWell works fast, precise and reliable with 384- or 1536-well plate formats.
The integration of the capillary based technology is a result of a close cooperation between CyBio and Genomic Solutions.
The CyBi-HummingWell can be operated as a stand alone workstation or can easily be integrated into a complete automated environment by adding stackers, dispensers or readers.
Assisted by the new automation software platform CyBio Composer with its Scripting Studio users can create their own customised protocols.
