Lab UK, a bi-annual exhibition, will take place at Excel International Conference and Exhibition Centre in the heart of London, UK, from 2-4 October 2007
Organiser Leipzig Fair is expecting around 100 exhibitors from the laboratory technology sector, the analysis and quality control sector and the biotechnology and life sciences sector.
Companies from France, Germany and the UK have already confirmed their booth space in the 4000m2 hall.
The conference and exhibition will attract visitors from around the world, including professionals in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries as well as the food and drink sector, public and private sectors and industries using medical and environmental technologies.
The expected 3000 visitors will be able to attend the three day trade fair and listen to industry professionals at the conference, offering manufacturers a chance to interact with customers and suppliers.
Conference streams, focusing on key industry issues, will be revealed shortly.
"As soon as we announced Lab UK show the response from companies interested in the exhibition was impressive.
"The fair, in combination with the conference, is a perfect opportunity for organisations to establish and support their networks in the UK," says Silvana Kuerschner, Lab UK project director.
"Lab UK provides manufacturers and purchasers with a unique environment in which they can come together to learn more.
"Our aim is to establish Lab UK as the leading industry event in the UK, which will be attended by industry professionals from around the globe, and is yet another exciting development within a fast moving industry".
In 2005, sales of analysis, bio and laboratory equipment in Europe amounted to euro15 billion, and market leaders from the UK and Germany are responsible for approximately 50% of annual European industry turnover*.
Lab UK is supported by Gambica, the UK association for instrumentation, control, automation and laboratory technology, and Spectaris, the German association for optical, medical and mechatronic technologies.
Tim Collins from Gambica says: "British manufacturers and purchasers welcome LAB and Gambica is pleased to provide its full support for this event."
