Adept Scientific announces a new digital filters option for FlexPro, the powerful and flexible charting and data analysis application from Weisang
The new module is designed to help engineers, scientists and measurement technology experts who need to filter multichannel measurements quickly, providing all the tools they need for filter design, filtering and presentation using a simple, sequential process.
The latest IIR and FIR filter design methods are at the core of this new module.
FIR filters are popular due to their stability and phase linearity.
FlexPro offers the window and FIR equiripple methods for designing FIR filters.
In addition to highpass, lowpass, bandpass and bandstop filters, the latter method lets you design any type of multiband filter, allowing you to set the permitted ripple in individual bands.
The digital filters option also includes the Sawitzky-Golay, Loess and Lowess smoothing filters as well as the CFC (channel frequency class) filter, an important crash test analysis tool to comply with ISO 6487.
Once enabled, the new filter design capabilities are accessed through FlexPro 7's analysis wizard, which guides the user through all the steps for designing filters, filtering multiple data sets and presenting results.
FlexPro offers immediate visual feedback whenever any change is made to the filter specification.
After the design process has been completed, filters can be saved as templates and reused later.
FlexPro's innovative interface places data, which can be imported from just about any source, within a structured, object-oriented project database that makes it easy to manipulate and to analyse trends and results.
Multiple tabbed windows ensure you keep track of every aspect of your data, while FlexPro's comprehensive graphing and data analysis options allow you to view and extract every last piece of useful information, and present your results in a wide variety of high-quality formats.
FlexPro and its various modules, including the new Digital Filters option, are supplied and supported by Adept Scientific.
