Adept Scientific, Measurement Computing's UK distributor, has announced that all hardware drivers supporting this range, and shipped free of charge with the hardware, are now compatible with Vista
Users of the popular Measurement Computing range of affordable USB and PCI-based data acquisition hardware can now be confident of compatibility with the latest PC operating system.
Updated versions are available to existing users as free downloads.
The new drivers and upgrades to Measurement Computing's industry-leading Universal Library - a collection of drivers and programming tools that ships free with all MCC boards, standalone and wireless data acquisition devices - will allow engineers and technicians to set up data acquisition applications with Measurement Computing's hardware, and program in standard or .net C, C++, C#, or Visual Basic languages with Windows Vista compatibility.
Paul Bragg, managing director of Adept Scientific, commented: "We and our suppliers continually support our customers as they turn to Microsoft's latest Windows operating system.
"Most new PCs are shipping with Vista, and it is key for customers that when they are ready to switch, the transition for Measurement Computing's USB and PCI data acquisition products and applications is effortless".
The latest version of Universal Library will now ship free with all Measurement Computing USB and PCI boards, together with InstaCal - an easy-to-use installation, calibration and test program - and Tracerdaq - which provides data logging, oscilloscope and strip chart recorder functions in software.
All are now compatible with Windows Vista as well as Windows XP and 2000, and current users of Measurement Computing hardware can download an updated software package, which also includes a special version of Universal Library for Labview.
