The Neptune Ultimate system is the latest addition to the Select Neptune range from Purite, a UK manufacturer of high performance water purification equipment.
Specifically designed to provide ultrapure water for use in both analytical and molecular science laboratory procedures, the Neptune Ultimate system promises efficient production rates of up to two litres/minute, and incorporates ultraviolet (UV) photo-oxidation technology at 185nm, bactericidal UV irradiation at 254nm and nuclear grade ion exchange polishing resin, ensuring ion-free ultrapure water at a guaranteed resistivity of 18.2Mohm.cm from a feedwater source of <20 uS/cm.
The reliable bench-mountable Ultimate unit combines the benefits of both Purite's Analytical and Life Science water purification systems, featuring a hollow fibre 0.05um ultra-microfilter and an integral deionising cartridge pack.
Ideal for procedures that require low levels of DNAse, RNAse and TOC, the ultra-microfilter reduces endotoxin levels to <0.02EU/ml and bacteria levels to <0.1cfu/ml, while the replaceable cartridge pack provides a low TOC specification of <1ppb.
The latest model also features an easy to view display to ensure quick and simple monitoring of system parameters, such as flowrate, water quality, temperature, TOC, and pressure, while an automated disinfection routine ensures system hygiene still further.
