For near patient testing, IBMS Congress provides the official launch in the UK of the DCA Vantage, which combines the strengths of the DCA2000+ with added functionality to future-proof the system for the current and future point of care environment.
DCA Vantage is a semi-automated, benchtop system, designed to quantitatively measure the percent Hemoglobin A1c in blood and low concentrations of albumin in urine (microalbuminuria), creatinine in urine, and the albumin/creatinine ratio in urine.
Among the many new features provided by the DCA Vantage, users now have increased data storage (up to 4000 combined patient/control results records) and additional connectivity to improve connections to laboratory information systems (LIS) and hospital information systems (HIS).
An integral printer also provides a hard copy of the patient results.
And for the first time, visitors to the Siemens Diagnostics stand will be able to preview the Clinitek Advantus - the next generation in urine chemistry analysis.
