EPmotion Plug'n'Prep protocols open up complete freedom of choice to automate nucleic acid purification, says Eppendorf.
The EPmotion is described as the only open automated liquid handling system with pre-tested, 'ready-to-go' methods for automated nucleic acid purification.
Intensive collaboration between Eppendorf and five major vendors of nucleic acid purification chemistries has led to a unique development in automated protocols.
As a truly open automated pipetting system, the Eppendorf EPmotion gives researchers complete freedom to choose any purification technology.
Invitrogen, Promega, Macherey-Nagel, Invitek, and 5 Prime have all developed, optimised and tested EPmotion methods.
Now EPmotion users can simply select their preferred brand and type of extraction kit, download the pre-tested method and transfer the method data file to the EPmotion.
No further adaptation is required and set-up time is less than an hour.
