Dionex introduces reagent-free ion chromatography systems with eluent regeneration (RFIC-ER systems)
Eluent Regeneration systems use an SRS electrolytic suppressor to regenerate the starting eluent, allowing non-stop operation of an ion chromatography system for up to four weeks.
These always on, always ready systems increase productivity by eliminating the need for daily reequilibration and recalibration and reducing eluent preparation time.
The systems use innovative, patented approaches to purify the suppressor regenerant effluent so that it is converted into pure electrolyte solution with a consistent concentration for reuse as eluent.
Eluent Regeneration is compatible with any Dionex ICS-1000, -1500, -2000, or -3000 system running isocratic separations with carbonate, carbonate/bicarbonate, or methanesulfonic acid eluents.
RFIC-ER systems are targeted for the analysis of common anions and cations in low contamination matrices, including drinking water, surface water and groundwater, making them ideal for US EPA Method 300.0 Part A, US EPA Method 300.1 Part A, or equivalent applications.
RFIC-ER systems provide many of the same advantages as RFIC systems with Eluent Generation (RFIC-EG systems), including ease-of-use and consistency.
However, RFIC-ER systems provide a low-cost alternative to RFIC-EG systems, while providing key new benefits of non-stop operation and reduced waste.
