Oxoid reminds young microbiologists involved in food and beverage safety and hygiene that there is still time to enter the 2007/2008 Oxoid Young Microbiologist of the Year Award
The first prize winner wins a trip to the 2009 International Association of Food Protection (IAFP) Meeting in Grapevine, Texas, USA, plus £1000.
The runner-up will receive £500.
Organised in conjunction with International Food Hygiene and the Institute of Brewing and Distilling, the award is simple to enter - a summary of activity, in 2000 words, is all that is required.
Entries are welcome from young microbiologists, who are no more than 30 years old at the end of June 2008, from all countries around the world.
You can nominate yourself, or colleagues and employers can make nominations.
Hints and tips on what might be included in your entry are available from your local representative of Oxoid products, or can be downloaded from the company's website.
The closing date is 30 June 2008.
