Coherent has released two Legend Elite ultrafast amplifiers that offer specified pulse widths of less than 25 femtoseconds.
The Legend Elite USX-HE offers pulse energies over 2.5mJ, while the Legend Elite Duo-USX delivers pulse energies over 5mJ.
The company said the performance of the amplifiers was enabled by two developments.
The E2-Engine is a regenerative amplifier module that provides energy and efficiency from a highly stable platform.
The amplifiers also employ BandMax technology - a suite of features designed to ensure stable, short pulse operation.
Seeding is provided by Coherent's Micra or Mantis oscillators, which the company said guarantees stable, wide bandwidth, spectral characteristics.
The Legend Elite USX models offer peak power and temporal characteristics for applications such as High Harmonic Generation (HHG), ultrafast spectroscopy, X-ray generation and attosecond physics.
