GE Healthcare has introduced two products for 1-D electrophoresis gel analysis, Imagequant TL Security software and Installation Qualification and Operational Qualification (IQOQ) protocols.
Imagequant TL Security software provides enhanced data security for analysis and documentation of 1-D electrophoresis gels by Imagequant TL, and IQOQ offers qualification protocols for the Imagequant 350 chemiluminescence, colorimetry and fluorescence CCD imaging system.
The products support the stringent requirements for laboratory data security and operational qualification for 1-D electrophoresis gel analysis.
The version control tool of Imagequant TL Security manages multiple revisions of analysed 1-D electrophoresis gel images, which are stored in a password-protected secure folder.
The software adds the following security features to Imagequant TL: user name and password security, which limits access to image files for authorised individuals only; approval of experiments (electronic signatures); version control audit trail, which ensures traceability of electrophoresis gel images; experiment audit reports, which allow easier tracking of image analysis data.
The IQOQ protocols ensure that Imagequant 350 and its associated hardware and software components are properly installed and operational according to GE Healthcare recommendations, and are adequately documented and controlled.
Imagequant 350 is a high-performance 16-bit cooled CCD camera-based system designed for a range of monochromatic imaging applications.
Using Imagequant TL analysis software with Imagequant 350 provides high levels of automation and accuracy, and reduces analysis time to a minimum.
Imagequant TL can also be used for dot and slot blots, microplates, and other arrays and grids.
